Sharing our NRG pancreas contouring atlas - now in press! Target volume delineation for dose-escalated RT in pancreas cancer has been highly variable, making it difficult to rigorously assess the efficacy and toxicity of RT. redjournal.org/article/S0360-… 1/13

A phase III randomized clinical trial demonstrates improved OS, PFS, and LRC with 4 weeks of hypofx-CRT (3 Gy/d) versus 6 weeks of conventional CRT (2 Gy/d). 🇨🇳 #radonc @sueyom redjournal.org/article/S0360-…

Single fraction RT (8Gy) significantly improves hepatic pain compared with best supportive care and can be considered standard palliative treatment. No increase in toxicity. @ldawsonmd @CDNCancerTrials thelancet.com/journals/lanon…

Thanks, @blally_md! Here are a few notes for those interested in some of my favorite studies from #ESTRO24. NARLAL II: Stage IIA-IIIB NSCLC. CCRT 66/33 ± (95/33 GTVp and 74/33 GTVn for PET+ lesions). x.com/gerryhanna/sta… 📌 SIB dose escalation 📈 LRC with stable DM rates.

Again catching up, but here was a great discussion with @jryckman3 about the top abstracts at @estro24 I love the radiation oncology questions they were focused on answering. I have started to incorporate some of this into my clinical practice. #ESTRO24 youtu.be/eCXfrWFjgLI?si…

Very nice paper and important point on treating sinonasal and other malignancies in this area. Avoid the brain! If a structure isn’t contoured for the optimizer, it doesn’t exist. @ColetteShenMD advancesradonc.org/article/S2452-…

GI oncology friends - ever wish in tumor board there were data indicating that Y-90 may not be the best treatment for arterially hypoperfused tumors in primary hepatic malignancies? Makes sense - mean Y-90 energy penetration is 2.5 mm. Take a look! #SBRT frontiersin.org/journals/oncol…
