If we made the police academy a 4-year program I bet we'd get rid of a lot of the "bad apples." I don't understand how a lawyer has to go to school for 8 years to understand the law enough to practice it, but it only takes 6 months to learn it enough to enforce it.

we're too grown to not be able to admit when you're wrong.. being wrong doesn't make you stupid, less than or inadequate, it just simply means in this situation you were wrong. it doesn't make you less than for admitting that. it's literally okay to be wrong, that's how you learn
your friends SHOULD disagree when you're in the wrong. they shouldn't agree with everything you do/say. let them correct you when you're wrong, debate your points...this isn't the mark of a false friend but one that encourages your growth instead of complacency.

Police should not be allowed to make mistakes that end up killing people. They should not be able to make lethal mistakes. You don’t get to say oops I accidentally fired my glock instead of my taser after 26 years on the job. It’s disgusting, it hurts, it is unacceptable.
