i had a student reading a book about meerkats today, and he turned the page and goes “ah just as i suspected, the babies are cuter than the mom” 🥹😂
i tell my students “i love you” every day as they leave my room and today my student from Rwanda (who doesn’t speak English) said it to me as he was walking out 🥹🥹 i love it so much but also have a fear he thinks that’s how you say bye to everyone 😅😂

i think my 4th graders have had more relationship drama this year than i have ever had in my life 😐
today one of my 4th graders looked at me and said “Ms. Hartshorn, are you ready to go to 5th grade?” i then had to break it to him that i wasn’t moving to 5th grade with him...
it was such an honor to be nominated for Rookie of the Year! I love what I do and who I do it with!
i have such supportive people in my life and for that i’m forever grateful
