The Toyota Hilux is overrated. I live in a state where trucks are a significant part of the culture, yet I rarely see anyone driving a Hilux. It seems other brands dominate the scene here.
There's something special about this vehicle, no matter how fast yours is, it's impossible to outrun it.
Specifications says it all Hilux is 2.7L I4 190hp vs Lexus 350 of 3.5L V6 268hp. Get your facts straight please. Same driver skill on both vehicles, Lexus will dust it anyway please. A car cannot function more than its capacity.
