A funny, funny man.
Congratulations to @realDonaldTrump on your victory. The UK has no greater friend than the US, with the special relationship being cherished on both sides of the Atlantic for more than 80 years. We look forward to working with you and @JDVance in the years ahead.
France’s extraordinary election results provide an urgent, valuable lesson. Don’t concede ground to those who sow division and fear. Build a bold Left movement that offers an alternative of inclusion and hope. That is how you defeat the far right.
Labour didn’t win on merit, that’s abundantly clear. They won because the Tories collapsed and someone had to be crowned. Fewer people voted for Starmer’s right-wing Labour than Corbyn’s left-wing Labour, and that will remain a reminder every day of people’s appetite for change.
With the Greens now having the same number of seats as Reform, the UK media should provide them the same platform and level of coverage as Farage’s ilk. Will it happen though? #GE24
Labour will win a landslide today. Vote Green to send them message - don't just end Tory rule, end Tory policies, too. Otherwise Labour will only listen to pressure from one direction: Nigel Farage.
Keir starmer caked the foundation on so thick he looked like Dame Edna Everage and that just the start of the pantomime comparisons
Last time they did this, at least the electorate had a substantive choice between two different visions for the country. What on earth is this nonsense? #itvdebate
This you? @DavidLammy
47% of children in my constituency live in poverty. I can not write a blank cheque for nuclear weapons #Trident facebook.com/19129786540/ph…
Shadow foreign sec @DavidLammy sharing his support of a “triple lock” on Trident. What has changed since 2016 (besides the shiny job offer…)? Yet another dishonest careerist with no issue abandoning morals or convictions in favour of power.
I just voted against the renewal of #Trident. You can read my speech in full here: facebook.com/19129786540/ph…
There is no tactical voting that could begin to justify voting for those who support and propagate genocide. Don’t let them use your vote to justify the slaughter of 15,000 children. Vote with your conscience. Vote Green, SNP, Plaid or Independent left. Do not vote Labour.
🗳️ Result of #GE2024 if nobody voted tactically: 🔴 LAB 36% (-10) 🔵 CON 19% (=) 🟢 GRN 15% (+7) 🟣 REF 15% (+3) 🟠 LD 10% (=) 🟡 SNP 3% (=) Via @ElectCalculus / @FindoutnowUK, 20-27 May (+/- vs current polling)
Absolutely gutted.
🚨🌳 Nottingham Forest decided to fire Steve Cooper yesterday night — Nuno Espirito Santo, landing in England today as he’s set to be appointed as new head #NFFC coach. Story confirmed.
Fkn hell. When you thought this man couldn’t be any more despicable…
🚨 NEW: Keir Starmer has praised Margaret Thatcher for effecting "meaningful change" in Britain as he attempts to woo Tory voters [@Telegraph]
Absolutely hilarious that my fav band now basically writing my thesis. Sometimes feel like a walking meme
