Did you know there’s a Little Free Library in fron of the Quaker Rental office? It’s hosted by Camp Turner. Take a book, leave a book. While your there, take a picture of your kids in front of the measurement bear. Save it and compare from year to year.

The Red House bike path repaving is near completion. They dug up and re-bedded sections along the Stone Pier to the playground and back to the picnic shelter parking lot and cut new sections in at the boat dock and wetlands parking lot. Just the topsoil and hydro seeding remain.

Looks like they’re pretty much done with Creekside 6. A little paint touch-up then move in the wood stove, cots, table & cupboard and it’ll be ready to rent in the 2025 camping season.

This was Parallel 1 when the original loop had 23 cabins. Many had electric but no refrigerators. This is also the park’s oldest cabin built in sections in Buffalo and shipped down & assembled in 1925. The cabin is now the Naturalist Cabin used by staff for summer presentations.

Some great news on the progress of Creekside 6. It’s coming along nicely and it is being framed for historical accuracy. I suspect they will reuse the old windows to complete the scene. It is even being framed in rough-cut lumber. It should be ready for the 2025 season!
