A little over 3 weeks ago, @waOSPI Superintendent Chris Reykdal and I closed schools across the state to keep our students, educators and their families, safe. Today, I’m making the hard decision to extend the closure order through the end of the school year. 1/5
In a 4-1 vote, the school board approved a measure to close schools starting Friday March 13. Schools will remain closed till April 24. This date may change as the situation develops.
All Snohomish School District facilities, including Glacier Peak, will be closed Tuesday March 10 after a district level employee tested positive for COVID-19. All sports and activities are cancelled.

UPDATE: Due to a case of COVID-19 (also known as Coronavirus) appearing at Jackson High School, tomorrow’s boys basketball game will be held at Shorewood High School at 6pm. We will continue to provide updates as information becomes available.
Good luck to the boys and girls basketball teams! The girls play tonight against University High School in Spokane and the boys play Auburn High School at Jackson tomorrow. Both games start at 6 p.m.
Make sure to register for the blood drive by Feb. 13! Permission slips and the sign up sheet are located outside room 203.
