Beautiful! The only rose I have blooming is Ballerina.
The precious persimmon crop was harvested before the raccoons had a chance to sneak in during the night and launch them at each other.
A northern mockingbird is scolding me for bumping into a glass door and I had to tell him that yes, there are bird decals already up to prevent him from doing just that.
Fuyu persimmon trees add festive color to the autumn garden. This variety is enjoyed eaten while crisp and I’m planning on turning the extra fruit into chunky jam and dried slices.
If this coyote comes any closer I’m putting a leash on it and calling it a dog.

It seems that I’m not the only one enjoying the richness from a fresh harvest of saffron, Crocus sativus.
With all of today’s commotion going on I almost missed that it’s National Redhead Day.
Caffeine overload was a bad idea for today.😬 Looking for brilliant hints of light would have been a smarter move.
Sorry birds, the out of reach fruit is off the menu. I bought a lightweight, 12’ telescoping snip and hold picker to reach every delectable piece. Not to worry, they won’t go hungry as there’s plenty of other food.
I make sure to leave plenty of water-filled buckets on the ground for wild animals but the birdbaths seem irresistible.
