Today I spoke to @thisisheart about shocking delays in justice facing victims of rape and sexual assault and the need to support organisations on the frontline. The Labour gvnmt is committed to ending this terrible legacy, reducing waits for justice and fast-tracking rape cases.
📢 Last night, Chancellor @RachelReevesMP used her maiden Mansion House speech to announce new measures to support co-operative and mutual growth. These are crucial first steps to achieving our joint ambition to double the size of the co-operative sector.
This is excellent work by the UK National Crime Agency. Smashing the gangs at source is imperative to tackling the small boats crisis. As an international liaison prosecutor I saw first hand how working with our international partners is key to this aim.

I condemn Minister Smotrich’s comments proposing annexation of land in the West Bank. Annexation only undermines the prospects for peace, would lead to greater instability and would be illegal under international law. The Israeli government must reject this.
It was great to talk to @alzheimerssoc today at the launch of their report into specialised dementia training for those working in social care. Improving the quality of social care is so important, and the £600m increase in funding announced in the budget is very welcome.
Today in Parliament I raised the shocking legacy of the Conservatives that has left victims of sexual assault in Norwich waiting far too long for their cases to be heard. I am glad that the Minister confirmed this Labour government is committed to reducing the wait for justice.

On Armistice Day, I joined veterans, local leaders and residents at the war memorial in Hellesdon and laid a wreath. Now and always we remember them.

Ahead of the Remembrance Services this weekend, I walked part of the Old Catton Remembrance Trail and reflected on the sacrifices made in service by those we remember. I would encourage anyone who is able to walk the beautiful trail if you can.
