Christians are massively deceived thinking, all they need is Scripture/Bible. When Jesus came to Israel & said come/return unto The Father via Me & hear My words (living teaching/direction) & follow Me...Israel (& Christians) said...no your words/direction don't match Scripture.
Although Jesus himself knew scripture well (OT) and quoted it often in his teachings to show that his words did match and he was the fulfillment of the word. The issue is relying on scripture without the Holy Spirit to reveal its truths, not the scripture itself.
Amen, well said Alice. Christian religion repeated error of Israel; creating a religion based on Scripture info & history of God/Christ. Bible by itself is living by Tree of Knowledge. But, Christians don't see that because they've falsely defined Bible as The Word = God Himself
