Before I left the stadium tonight, I had to adjust some space for our new hardware in the Hall of Champions. Look for it on November 29th when we play Utah State for the home finale.

Ask a Wyoming fan who was around in 1966 and they still think the Bounce Pass was an illegal play. It was legal and helped the Rams beat the #10 Cowboys. The game was won on great defense. This legendary game helped lead to the creation of the Bronze Boot. @CSUFootball @CSUAlumni

This is where it all began, 1899 never happened. When I came across this story 32 years ago while researching, it makes sense why this rivalry has lasted. I didn’t even get to tell the story of the 1900 game, when Wyo players broke our coach’s collarbone. @CSUAlumni @CSUFootball

I’m late with my Border War picture today. This is one of the best action shots I took when I was on the yearbook staff at CSU. Leonice Brown in the 1993 game. Who else was there that day? @CSUFootball @CSUAlumni

Continuing with some Border War pictures this week, one of the most 1970s pictures ever. Not just the uniform colors but look at how everyone was dressed in the background of the 1976 game at Hughes Stadium. @CSUFootball @CSUAlumni

Kicking off Border War week with my favorite picture of the Bronze Boot. This is Capt Dan Romero holding his boot in 1968 after it was bronzed for the first trophy game. He was a veteran of Vietnam, serving in 1967-68. @CSUFootball @CSUAlumni

Another homecoming win with the 1925 flag on the field. That’s 8-2 since 2014 including some great wins against Utah St and Boise State. Rams are looking good these days. @CSUFootball @CSUAlumni

I had fun with this one, so many homecoming games to choose from. Had to talk about all those Utah State games.

𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 Saturday will be the 100th playing of the Homecoming Game. In a run like that, there are plenty of highlights 📝 csura.ms/3A0cItQ #CSURams x #RamGrit 🐏

The Rams take on @UNMLoboFB Saturday and it is a rivalry worth looking back into the archives. Sharing this with Lobo fans too, these earliest color Kodachrome pictures are from the Nov. 24, 1938 Thanksgiving Day game at Zimmerman Field in Albuquerque. @CSUFootball @CSUAlumni

Homecoming week and that means the Rams will be running onto the field with the 1925 Homecoming flag. This new tradition started in 2014 when the flag was returned to CSU. The Rams have won 7/9 homecoming games since, including some close ones. @CSUFootball @CSUAlumni

She’s my kid, a CSU freshman majoring in history and my assistant athletic historian. She is going to take over for me one day, today we were making space in the Hall of Champions for the Ram-Falcon Trophy. @CSUFootball @CSUAlumni

That picture was taken 32 years ago today at the Oct 17, 1992 game. It was the first time as a student I had a field pass and I used my parent’s camera, a memorable game like so many others at AFA.

Did I miss any other legendary CSU dynamic duos? I’m open to suggestions.

This is one of my favorite oddities in CSUs football history. It was fun interviewing Coach Sark about the game when I wrote Aggies to Rams. The man was still fired up about the refs. Was anyone there? Let’s hear if you were at this game 50 years ago. @CSUAlumni

Taking time at the half to look up and Remember A&M legend, Eddie Hanna.

I have always had a special connection with the Eddie Hanna story. I knew his sister and promised her 15 years ago I would keep his legacy alive. On Saturday, look up at the Canvas Stadium press box and remember this veteran, athlete and great friend to our school. @CSUAlumni

It was 75 years ago today 9/17/1949 when Colo A&M star halfback Eddie Hanna died from a sudden heart attack on the train back to Ft Collins after the CC game. I will have a special Memorable Moments on Thursday explaining why @CSUFootball and fans shouldn’t forget #21 @CSUAlumni

Alumni are back for the big game, here is Wayne Schneider ‘60, holding the 1958 CU game ball. He was the HB in that game and scored 14/15 points to beat the Buffs in Folsom. It was the last time CSU played CU until 1983. @CSUFootball @CSUAlumni

Watching the game on TV today? Look for this great piece of CSU history. CBS has asked to show it during the broadcast today. Aggies beat the Silver and Gold in Boulder that day, October 9, 1915. It was Coach Harry Hughes’s 28th birthday. @CSUFootball @CSUAlumni
