Incompetence at its best.
In 2008 the Fed misjudged the risks of subprime. In 2021 the Fed misjudged inflation. In 2022 they’ve already misjudged the slowdown in growth. The Fed and its demonstrated incompetence in properly judging reality & applying the wrong policy remains the greatest danger.
