I spotted my first Black-eyed Litter Frog (Leptobrachium nigrops) a couple of weeks ago. This week I spotted my second. She was an absolutely gorgeous specimen with huge onyx eyes and a dusting of orange around the ears. The rainy season is definitely bringing the amphibians out.

Have you ever seen the Eurasian badger? This social omnivore can form groups of 20+ individuals, inhabiting elaborate communal burrows called โ€œsetts.โ€ It communicates with a wide range of vocalizations, including gurgling, growling, & high-pitched chatter called "whickering."

Still feeling stuffed from your Thanksgiving feast? Meet the Guineafowl puffer! It feeds mainly on the tips of branching corals. It gets so round not by eating but to avoid being eaten, swallowing water to dissuade predators from trying such a big bite.
