Received a lovely letter this morning from the (former!) High Sheriff of Somerset about my playing of Stanford in A and Ireland Greater Love last month. Nice boost for the summer term, probably my busiest yet!

Lovely Lunchtime Eucharist today @York_Minster with 2 of the schools who have been participating in the Schools’ Singing Programme - totally joyful; thanks Miss Bels and @Adarlesson for injecting even more sunshine into the day.

So proud of our @YorkMinChoir girl choristers leading the worship at tonight's evensong celebrating 30 years since the first ordination of women as priests in the @ChurchofEngland For 25 of those 30 years @York_Minster has had girl as well as boy choristers. 😃 #YorkMinster

Great turnout for my recital at @DunblaneCathed today. Always a pleasure to be invited back, particularly this time with my very first piano teacher being my page-turner!

Spot the wild Adam in the Organ

An interesting and varied morning shooting the Festival of Faith and Music for @ChurchTimes - the Archbishop of York @CottrellStephen on air guitar, the @eborsingers in fine form, and see if you can spot the organist @York_Minster

Fantastic recital at lunchtime today by the @stmartins_music Emerging Artists in York Minster Chapter House. Great to hear almost entirely modern repertoire sung (and conducted!) with such clear vision and emotional impact, especially by a group of young professionals

A 9,000-year-old skeleton was discovered inside a cave in Cheddar, England, and was affectionately dubbed "Cheddar Man." DNA testing confirmed that a living relative lived approximately half a mile away, tracing their lineage back nearly 300 generations. In 1903, while…

Delighted to share the news that I'll be joining starting at York Minster at the end of the month! I'm sad to be leaving the team and friends I've made in Wells, but looking forward to this new chapter in an incredible City, and with an amazing team and choir.

What a spectacular cathedral in Wells! Not my 1st time seeing it, but it always takes your breath away. The @wellscathschool choir was practising for a concert. A thrilling sound! It was a pleasure to perform in Cedars Hall at the school for an appreciative audience.

An absolutely colossal long-weekend of musical feasts taking place! Fantastic concert last night playing continuo with Rejouissance for @WellsOratorio, while tonight's Cathedral Choir and Chamber Choir concert is going to be epic. There's still time to buy your tickets!

The Sound of Wells Festival is just around the corner! Bookmark this tweet as a handy reminder of all the fantastic musical events coming up... wellscathedral.org.uk/archives/113565 #soundofwells #wellscathedral #whatsonsomerset #visitwells

A fantastic appointment! James was utterly inspirational and an amazing to me when he was Director of Music @UofGlasgow If it hadn't been for him, my life would be completely different; and I wouldn't have chosen to make being a cathedral musician my career.

Our Edinburgh Festival Chorus has been at the heart of #EdIntFest since its creation & this year sees their last season with Chorus Director Aidan Oliver. Taking up the mantle from the Autumn is James Grossmith, most recently Chorus Director of the Belfast Philharmonic Choir.

The really unjust thing about tuition fees isn't the fees themselves but a) the interest rate that makes paying it off virtually impossible, meaning it's essentially a tax and b) the subsequent refusal to admit it's a tax, giving grads a higher marginal tax rate than billionaires

Beautiful buildings don't just appear. Like McEwan Hall, where the University of Edinburgh holds graduation ceremonies. It was paid for by a local businessman...
