A piece of advice which has stuck with me since I first heard it: “Act upon the recommended as if they are mandatory, perceive the sins as disbelief, desires as poison, over-socialising as fire, and food as medicine. Then see how your life changes بإذن الله”

“If you knew the true value of yourself, you would never allow yourself to be humiliated by committing sins.” - Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) [Kitab Al-Fawa’id, p.118]

This whole video is shocking but I think the last bit is the worst. Where he mocks the sharia and starts mocking the Deen essentially. A statement of kufr

“Am I making this up.” Yes.

If the children would benefit being in the mosque, seeing people pray etc then most definitely take them. If they’re going to be a menace and just distract other people while praying, best not to take them imo. It doesn’t benefit anyone really

Quick question, when is the normal age fathers start taking their sons to the masjid? My little boy is 3yo & an absolute menace 😅 being a convert I don’t have any experience in this regard

“The prayer is the greatest help for attaining the benefits of the worldly life and the hereafter. Likewise, it is the greatest help in repelling the harms of the worldly life and the hereafter." - Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) [Zād Al-Ma'ād 4/209]

A story is narrated regarding a Christian girl who converted to Islam and kept this a secret. She happened to pass away, and her parents buried her in a Christian graveyard. In another place, a pious Muslim man had passed away and was buried in a Muslim cemetery (Part 1)

Quick question, when is the normal age fathers start taking their sons to the masjid? My little boy is 3yo & an absolute menace 😅 being a convert I don’t have any experience in this regard

تقبل الله منا ومنكم Taqabbal Allāhu minna wa minkum ‘May Allāh accept [good deeds] from you and us’ Eid Mubarak everyone, have a good one with your friends and family In Shā Allāh

On the subject of travelling, heard something quite hilarious the other day. Apparently it’s permissible for sisters to travel in groups because “it’s more safe” - can you really say that with a straight face?

Might do a Twitter space one time if any akhs are up for it. Allāh knows best

Them people in the masjid who recite really loudly in silent prayers and when in ruku/sujood are so jarring. Hard to maintain khushu in Salah when someone is that loud

We must be aware of the conditions of dua and also aware of the things that would cause our duas to not be accepted...

Allāh ﷻ has blessed us to witness another Ramadan. We should strive to make best use of it In Shā Allāh
