This and the whole thread it's in are 100% wrong. Any contribution over $1000 in the last 20 days before an election must be publicly reported within 48 hours.
Even if we assume, incorrectly, that it was a campaign expenditure, it wouldn't have been reported until 30 days after the election. But again, none of this got to the jury, either through testimony or the judge's instructions. /8
After 40 years of flying regularly I have finally experienced a flight where they announced that it was the pilot’s first day. And yes, they waited until we landed to announce that.
This is a good thing. EU rules are lightyears ahead of the US on this front and it's about time we caught up.
Our department just issued rules to protect people from hidden airline fees and to require airlines to give passengers automatic cash refunds when owed. No more having to fend for yourself and jump through hoops to get your money back—airlines will have to automatically do this.
