Good example of some so called "prescriptivism" is just linguistic negotiation. I agree we should use those two phrases for two different meanings!

The one thing linguistic prescriptivists and pedants are correct on is that "begs the question" should not be used as a synonym for "raises the question". Hold the line comrades.

Interesting how immune deficiency is getting a lot of attention (and apparently money) with the rise of streaming/gaming (one place where immune deficient people can easily socialize). Mostly from @CDawgVA and @ironmouse Grateful for them and everyone involved in supporting IDF.

And if you see an ostrich you are double-brained, and if you see a plank of wood you're beainless, etc etc

Apparently, if you can see a tree, you're left-brained, and if you can see two people holding hands, you're right-brained 🤔

If your website has AI pictures for "real customers", I am immediately suspect pf your entire product.

Should I update my bio?

Ok, but what about the tech philosophy bro?

What if Google AI Overview is not making mistakes, but is just extremely sarcastic and tired of humans asking dumb questions?

I want to study Latin and tech so if I create (use?) a programming language in Latin can I call it ✨Liberal Arts ✨?

Only Adam Regusea would use asparagus as a reason to sloppily discuss philosophy and theology.

"We don't need humanities in tech." SQlite developers: "Let's write our Code of Ethics based on the Rule of St. Benedict." sqlite.org/codeofethics.h…

A tech textbook I was reading last week said, “Unfortunately, we don’t live in the best of all possible worlds. How do we know this? Because our programs have bugs.” I think I’ll find my philosophy somewhere outside of tech-world.

This is the most horrific thing I’ve ever seen

The iphone ships a copy of a 13 year old jquery plugin? Has any of your software ever made it into these licence files on devices?

AG Q: (simple I'll admit!) Why is the nom ἡ μάχαιρᾰ and its acc τὴν μάχαρᾰν declined w/ this short final alpha in nom/acc? Why not follow the pattern of other -ε/-ι/-ρ stem 1st declension nouns that are long here? e.g.: ἡ οἰκίᾱ, τὴν οἰκίᾱν ἡ χώρᾱ, τὴν χώρᾱν
