Today morning, we interacted with media practitioners from #Busoga region on reporting about the #mpox response & #Marburg preparedness. @WHO remains steadfast in supporting #Uganda in tackling #mpox. With media support, we share preventive measures to control community spread.
Worldwide, an estimated 9 out of 10 murders of journalists go unpunished. Impunity breeds further violence. This must change. I call on governments to take urgent steps to protect journalists, investigate crimes against them, and prosecute perpetrators – everywhere.
