Congrats to Chandler Drake being selected 1st team All State 3A Pitcher. He will play June 8th in Manhattan in the All State Game. Kaleb Wise was selected Honorable Mention All State 3rd base. Great season for both boys!

2 big wins and Halstead Dragons are going to State!
Two big wins tonight against Lyons. Adler Davison with the walk off game one to win 3-2. Won game two 7-6 with good hitting and Zach Gavlak closed the game on the mound brilliantly.
Split with Hesston tonight. Chandler Drake threw his third complete game shutout of the season. Lost game two 0-1 and Jase Mueller threw great. 10-6 on the season now.
Dragons win 2 tonight at Nickerson 16-4 and 14-4. Winning pitcher game 1 Jase Mueller and winner game 2 Zach Gavlak. Kaleb Wise hit 2 HR’s and Adler Davison hit one HR.
Chandler Drake threw his second complete game shutout and 1 hitter last night in Larned. Halstead won game 1 7-0 and lost game 2 3-4.
Two wins tonight against Smoky Valley to move our record to 4-2. We pitched it well and had our best hitting performance of the season.

Mr. Johnson going YARD in the Alumni vs Baseball Team softball game. Alumni pulled out a nail biter 19-4. Good times thanks to everyone that came out.
Congrats to Chandler Drake on his commitment to continue his education and baseball career at Northwest Oklahoma State University. One more year of Halstead baseball then off to big things and a bright future.

Season came to an end tonight at Regionals. We beat Haven 16-1 then lost 3-7 to Collegiate. We are losing 6 seniors but the future is bright with the players we have returning. Thank you to the seniors and we wish you nothing but the best in your future.
