u can see how theyre playing MasterDuels in episode one and Yuga explains its too complicated and "strict" not fun (because he is a kid) So he makes up new rules and calls it Rush Duel. Its part of the Yugioh franchise for a younger audience. Look uo the translation of "Yu-gi-oh"
Rush Duels are better than the modern TCG by a landslide. I say this as someone who’s been around since the start. You can actually have fun with rush duels instead of handtap this, Omni-negate that.
I'm sorry but I don't consider Seven and Go Rush as part of the Yugioh franchise. They are a different card game with the Yugioh title over it 😤

I knew something was off about the games graphic design. the Intro looks nice but when they get into the gameplay it looks like a strategy game and not the nice animated sprites of the neo geo era.
the artists are clearly not deeply into the irem/nazca/snk arcade aesthetic as much as shallowly absorbing "metal slug" through the lens of western indie game development the non-sprite art just looks like "ahhh I love 80s anime" a e s t h e t i c stuff, again very surface-level
