I bought Diablo I in @battlenet today. It doesn’t work. Apparently @Blizzard_Ent decided to sell the original game without any work to make it compatible with newer OS. I’ve used compatibility settings, but what a shoddy work! Don’t but it!

I can confirm now that PCDAAD, the not that new anymore DOS interpreter for DAAD, can now play both SFX (8 bit/mono/max 64K) and music (OPL2 normal and dual). You may be able to use WAV files for effects and DRO files for music. There's not yet a release, but it will be one soon.
