You wake up in the morning, open your tent, and see these bear prints leading straight to your campsite. 😲 That's what happened to this backpacking photographer at @GatesArcticNPS in Alaska. Pic courtesy of Matt Meisenheimer

In other news, after decades of @nalgene use is harsh conditions the world over, we witnessed our first product failure. Thank God, 1) it was NOT the pee bottle, and 2) we had four backups.

For your consideration, a post from '05 we wrote mocking @outsidemagazine for its lack of diversity, 15 years ago almost to the day. Next items, for your consideration, their covers from the last 3 years. Would you call this an improvement? That's the best they could do?🤷‍♂️

Life goals...

Hats off for Bavo Deneckere from Antwerp. 277.5 kilometres in 11 hours, 49 minutes and 23 seconds and burning 8,563 calories. His route, it's a Duvel beer glass. 😊

A legend. Deep respect. We were just talking about him. He is missed.

Com'on, Mick Fleetwood paying tribute to the original . So good.

Outdoor twitter, why has this not been in my feed? It's trending. I will put it in yours. He's skateboarding. He's outdoors. He's listening to Fleetwood Mac. Enjoy, then go make him a social media 🌟instagram.com/doggface208/. Climb, ride, paddle hard this weekend. And be safe.

First day back on-snow and Brock Crouch is going HUGE

Adventure Journal rb.gy/ndc9ms confirming the news that was making the rounds of outdoor twitter this weekend. Bike, Powder, Surfer, and Snowboarder to cease publishing. Now would be a good time to remind readers the good content is worth paying for. And F#$k FB.

We just subscribed to @MountainGazette, @skiingrogge is publishing it again after a decade. You should subscribe. And to @AlpinistMag . And to @adventurevida Support real journalists, publishing real content, in high quality formats meant to keep and savor, not throw away.

Photography as an art, in the age of IG filters, seems tenuous at best. Props to all the photographers out there making a living. No easy feat. Meet one, Kirk Keeler. Little known fact, he was a high school off/def lineman for the Calistoga Wildcats. rb.gy/tucuql
