Often I think we overthink our problems and think the answer is over complicated and a “secret” This bleeds over into health and fitness. Often times simpler is much more successful and sustainable than extraordinary and advanced.

Strength should be what’s sought after. A strong person is a fit person, healthy person, and more than likely more kind and considerate person.

“We live in a society that is constantly offering shortcuts to our desires” “Taking shortcuts is actually taking the long road to our ACTUAL desires and taking the shortcut to living in our own personal hell” I heard this in a podcast today and it’s SO spot on….

Living with pain and inflammation everyday isn’t normal… Find the root cause of this rather than treating symptoms and you’ll feel the world isn’t as grey.

People always analyze the consequences of their actions… but what about the consequences of your lack of action? The more you put off your health, career, aspirations, etc… there is a cost and consequence to that too and it’ll make itself known at some point….

Get outside and take a 10-20 minute walk today.. You’ll be in a much better mood and I guarantee your husband/wife will enjoy your time together much more.

In my opinion intent matters the most in all the things we do. Humans aren’t perfect but if your intentions are perfect then you’ll lead a happier healthier life. People screw up, but if they are trying their best and fall short then that’s when they need some grace the most.

When you get that feeling in your gut and you’re scared to take the next steps, do it. Digging into that uncomfortable feeling brings tons of growth and value on the other side..

If you wait until your conditions are perfect to take charge of your health then a real health scare is the next marker that’s going to actually get you to take ACTION! Start TODAY. Start small and KEEP GOING. Take your steps and aim to get 2000 more each day for a month…

“You were born to do something great, you don’t know what it is or when it’ll be happening” - Ed Mylett

A good quote I literally just heard today . “Slowly is the quickest way to get to where you want to be” Get started, be slow and consistent, you’ll be farther and better off than going quickly and burning out and giving up or farther than never getting started at all.

Hard work is one of the few things that will consistently give you a sense of purpose and 100% success rate for anything that’s worth achieving. You don’t always succeed the 1st 2nd 3rd or maybe 50th time. But with hard work you achieve sense of purpose and determination with…

There’s great power in saying no… Putting off urges and wants and saying no right now for a bigger goal brings you more satisfaction. I say no to most junk foods because I know how I’ll feel later if I did give in… Saying no and having control over your natural urges slowly…

To create new habits around health and fitness it will take longer than you think.. Most people think it only takes 3 weeks to create a new habit but really on average it takes 66 days according to data set in a study I read. February is almost over and we aren’t even 66 days…

It’s 2024 and if you’re still relying solely on cardio and restricting your calories as much as you can humanly manage to hit your goals then news flash… it’s time to switch up the strategy. Eat high protein. Lift weights. Build Muscle. Be active. Eat Whole Foods. Then after…

Radical Honesty is a great mission statement I learned from the guys over at Mind Pump. This is now how I live my life being radically honest. I will be honest no matter if it will hurt your feelings or if it’s not what you want to hear. My goal isn’t to be an a**hole and to…

Good foods… Bad foods… How do you know what’s what? Instead of getting lost in the rabbit hole of Instagram or TikTok do this. Focus on eating mostly foods with 5 or less ingredients. Just focus on eating whole natural foods. If you’re on your fat loss journey worrying about…

There is no short cut when achieving your health and fitness goals… If it sounds too good to be true then odds are it probably is.. There are trade offs with every choice you make so don’t fall for products, diets, workouts, etc… That claim little to no work from you. It’s…

“Why would I workout if I’m just going to get old anyways” Working out doesn’t reverse your age, that’s obvious or people would continue being 20 late until their 70’s. Lifting weights and working out DOES increase your quality of life as you age. You can’t hide from the fact…
