I always thought there was something perfect about Clemente finishing at exactly 3000 hits. It's one of the most prestigious milestones in the game, and he gets to eternally be the gatekeeper of that stat. Anyone who reaches 3000 hits need to cross Roberto Clemente's threshold.
People will try to tell you what’s possible and what’s impossible for you to accomplish. Don’t accept other people’s limits as your own. #WordsofChizdom
Not enough people talk about Bernie Williams • .297 BA, 287 HR, 1257 RBI, 125 OPS+ • 4x World Series Champion with NYY • 5x AS, 4x Gold Glove, Silver Slugger • Seven straight years w/ .900+ OPS • 1998 Batting Title (.339/.422/.575) • 4 rings in 5 years, 6 pennants in 8 •…
Roberto Clemente - veteran of the United States Marine Corps. #VeteransDay
Ichiro got his 3rd MLB hit in his 10th at bat and his batting average never dipped under .300 for the rest of his career 🤯
Congratulations to Dave Parker on his nomination to the National Baseball Hall of Fame! With a lifetime average of .290 over his 19 MLB seasons, the seven-time All-Star, three-time Gold Glover and former MVP is one of the eight candidates considered for the MLB Hall of Fame…
Pretty sure Springsteen’s fastball was topping out at 38 mph that day. Hand me a bat, I’m knocking that weak shit to Asbury Park. https://t.co/iFKXQp8eiY
Some of the things we’re allowing in our mind are like spam. It’s serving no purpose. It’s a distraction. That’s noise trying to get you anxious, confused, overwhelmed. You need to say, “No, thanks. I don’t have time for noise, distraction. I have a destiny to fulfill.”
ALDS Game 2 (1995) Me and Donnie Baseball going back-to-back. Great memories
It is Piss Poor… I’m training players who haven’t learned anything all year.
There are MLB orgs who send their prospects home with detailed reports on their success vs what to work on Then there are MLB orgs who send their players home with NOTHING I've trained 8 different Org's players this off-season Their winning percentage is a strong correlation
How many runs have been scored this postseason after a pitcher failed to get over and cover 1B ? This is why for 100 yrs catchers always reminded the pitcher with their finger to get over along with 1st baseman verbally reminding. No it doesn’t matter that they should know .…
Remember the name Gerrit Cole. He’s a one of a kind in today’s game of baseball pitchers👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Forty pitch inning in the 5th, and he still gets into the 7th. Baseball needs more pitchers like Gerrit Cole. Pitches with heart, instinct and guts. Get your note books out boys. He’s…
Greatly honored and humbled to be inducted into the HSBN South Florida Baseball Hall of Fame this past week. To be mentioned in a group that includes Ed Waters, Pat McQuaid and Fred Burnside as well as so many other high level coaches, colleagues and friends is truly special.
We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former Dodgers great Fernando Valenzuela. “Fernandomania” swept through baseball in 1981 when the 20-year old rookie sensation began the season 8-0 with a 0.50 ERA. The lefthander capped off his incredible year by winning both the…
Super Sky Point to Fernando Valenzuela, who took America by storm during the Fernandomania summer of 1981 and led the Dodgers to a World Series triumph. Breathing through his eyelids like a lava lizard the whole way. Hand St. Peter a bat and give him the screwball, big guy. #RIP
Hall of Famer has a nice ring to it!! Congratulations to @CanesBaseball legend Kevin Howard on being named to the @UMSHoF Class of 2025!
Look forward to the day in the future the instructors and coaches will begin to again build starting type Pitchers. Pitchers that pitch, change speeds, locate, have deception and trust ability to pitch in and near strike zone. Guys that can go 6-7 innings. 1-2 innings guys boring
Poor performances don't bother kids (not all) anymore. Very few get their pride hurt, and refuse to let it happen again. Very few, even have pride, or know what it is. Why is this now so common?
Bernie Williams was a cornerstone of the New York Yankees dynasty of the late 1990s and early 2000s. The Puerto Rico native spent his entire 16-year career with the Yankees. He was a 5-time All-Star and a 4-time Gold Glove Award winner. He helped the Yankees win 4 World Series…
