Our teachers & administrators (science, math, and social studies) from Hawaii and Vermont have started to put their big data stories together about the role of oceans and their connections to climate events. Same data but 4 different directions! #NGSS #NGSSchat @ChrisZSciEd

Thoughtful NGSX Ts reflect on role of data-It can be a struggle to get everyone involved, feeling they have something to offer to the group, but using a data set, appropriate to a lesson, would go a long way in creating more of a discussion/engaging environment for my class

Huge shout out to our NGSX Oceans, Climate Science & Big Data participants - great dialogue/thoughtful observations & wonderings. Looking forward to day 2!!

"Life is science & we are science" -Quote today from our Oceans, Climate Science, and Big Data teacher pathway with an incredible group of science, math, and social studies teachers and administrators from Hawaii, as well as a couple incredible East Coasters too!! #NGSS #NGSSchat

Who said learning loss was a thing in the first place? It is pure irresponsibility to assume something about kids without spending time with the kids. We all leaned a lot this year... it may not be the curriculum, but we all learned... edweek.org/leadership/lea…

Excited about where we are in design work on our Oceans, Climate Science, & Big Data pathway tonight. Focused on situating data analysis in the context of ongoing sensemaking and using models as tools rather than "right answers."

Applause & more to our Delaware NGSX virtual study group & facilitators who this AM endured a roaring tropical storm, failing electricity & trips to the basement seeking safety, but stayed with their online/virtual PD throughout, never relenting. Bring it on, ladies!!!

Applause, Megan! Our diversity needs to find its way into classrooms.
