There are both good and bad days as a manager but on some days like today, you get to be proud of the meaningful impact you can have on the people you support and that really makes all of this worth it.

Just typing a 800 number into my Google Pixel phone now gives current wait time as well as predictions for different time windows during the week. Combined with the "Hold for me" option, I don't dread calling automated phone systems as much 🙌
2021: I set a goal to read 50 books & it was frankly a little stressful and took the fun out of reading even as I completed the challenge. 2022: I decide not to set ambitious goals & just go back to enjoying the hobby and I read 52 books effortlessly! 🤓

Each role you take is a chapter in the story of your career. Sometimes, that chapter ends darkly and unexpectedly, yanking control from your grip. Like in every superhero movie you know, the main character loses something precious.
When I was asking for open web roles for my reports at a friend's company, she said "You are not their manager anymore, what reports?" My (ex)manager and peers have been connecting me with folks who are hiring in their network too. I guess that's why we #LovedWhereWeWorked💙
