Really appreciate this, team #DelhiPolice! Please ensure everyone knows that ‘anyone’ includes non-human animals too. Their protection lies in your mandate as per the #DelhiPoliceAct,1978 and the #PreventionOfCrueltyToAnimalsAct, 1960 Standing Order: delhipolice.nic.in/doc/standing-o…

A promise not just on #PromiseDay, but forever. If you see anyone in distress, make a promise to yourself to dial 112. #DelhiPoliceCares #112Day2022

Animals are illegally transported from Bihar to Nepal to be slaughtered en masse at the #Gadhimai festival. This violates the laws of the land + our country’s moral fabric. We urge @officecmbihar to act immediately to stop this cruelty. Volunteers, pl email: office@pfappf.com

Gadhimai, a festival held every five years in Bariyarpur, Nepal, is a horrifying spectacle of mass animal slaughter. Lakhs of buffaloes, goats, pigeons, pigs, and roosters are killed in the name of tradition, with the next butchery set for December 7th. @pfaindia and @IndiaHSI

How can mass bloodshed & violence be a celebration? The illegal transport of animals frm Bihar to Nepal for #Gadhimai 'festival' violates our laws & the core values #Bharat stands for. I urge @officecmbihar to act immediately. Ignoring such brutality is complicity. @narendramodi

Bound by time and this human form, but my soul yearns and aches to love and protect every creature. 💔

Tragically unsurprised by this. We’ve seen the warnings for years, yet nothing has been done. The illegal meat shops have been allowed to operate unchecked, drawing in birds and putting public safety at severe risk. The situation was entirely predictable—and preventable.

IGI @DelhiAirport bags the trophy for Highest number of bird hits among all airports in India 2021 - 96 bird hits 2022 - 184 bird hits 2023 - 169 in the first 10 months only Reason - Catastrophic failure of @MCD_Delhi and @AamAadmiParty in regulating illegal meat shop clusters…
