Alagappa University is situated in the land of heritage & learning. Temples of TN, its language and literature are evidences of the greatness of Tamil civilisation. We all celebrated the Tamil culture and our cultural unity at the #KashiTamilSangamam in Kashi.
Our universities, including Alagappa University must become melting pots of 21st century ideas. Rooted in Indianness, drawing inspiration from our civilisational prowess and taking pride in our history, our universities should create solutions for the new realities.
India has the responsibility to give a peaceful & progressive pathway to the world. NEP 2020 has many linkages towards fulfilling Indian and global aspirations. Our knowledge will complement humanity and not compete. Our universities have a very important role in ensuring this.
I am sure students of Alagappa University will think big, aim to become job-creators, contribute in making India a knowledge-based economy, remain committed to nation-building and also work for the welfare of humanity. I wish them the best for a bright and fulfilling career.
