It’s so easy to forget the big picture and let the smallest things in our lives, what so often doesn’t really matter, irritate us to the point of losing our joy. We forget to enjoy the beauty of the moments in our life.
When you fix your mind on noble things, you close the door to the negative voices and open your heart to allow God to work in your life. That’s why the Scripture encourages us to think on things that are true, noble, and lovely.
When it’s not the right time, you’re not going to feel at peace. There will be unrest. No matter how hard you try, that door is not going to open. Timing is critical. You can do the right thing at the wrong time and it won't work out.
Do you think that your sins are too great, that what you've done is beyond forgiving? You don’t need to clean yourself up to somehow be good enough to experience God’s love. Remember, there is "no condemnation in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1).

If you’re going to see the uncommon, you can’t just pray common prayers. You can’t just ask for the ordinary. You have to ask for dreams that look impossible, for increase that seems out of reach, for favor to overcome obstacles that look too big.

We feel this pressure to fix things. We take matters into our own hands. We strive and strain, and often end up frustrated. We have good intentions, but the best thing you can do is leave it alone. That battle is not yours; the battle is the Lord's.
Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” You may feel that you can’t do it on your own, but you’re not on your own. You can commit your plans to the God who is committed to you.
