Reading that study that found how grizzly bear genetic populations and indigenous language families in central BC mapped onto each other almost perfectly with my jaw on the floor

i wish all the Alaskan tribes about to lose their villages to climate change (land erosion) got the same kind of attention from Natives that LakotaMan & Keeler do

Once when I was young, around 8 or so, we had a garage sale. My siblings and I were killing time riding our bikes along the sidewalk and this guy stopped in. But he wasn't there to buy anything. He went up to my mom, introduced himself and said he'd stopped because he saw us...

So, autistic people are considered “disordered” because we often: say what we mean, have no hidden agenda, focus on one task for a long time, prefer deep connections over shallow ones, are pragmatic, question what we don’t know and like to get straight to the point? OK…!

Natives Americans weren’t allowed to wear our clothing or practice our ways LEGALLY till 1978. It was illegal and a crime to do so before then. So to see a white person wear a native costume will always be a slap to the face when we fought so hard to wear it ourselves.

I just took a walk. Mormon missionaries ran across the street to follow me, shouting until I got off the phone. Dudes were not prepared for me. Dude 1: "Have you ever seen anyone dressed like us?" Me: "Yeah. Wow. Missionaries? Are you okay?" Dude 1: "Yes? o_o Why do you ask?"
