Leaders who want more teamwork and less silos should stop trying to fix these problems with workshops on teamwork. Work on your team judging and jumping to conclusions less and not speaking directly to the person they have a problem with and more teamwork magically appears.

Couldn’t agree more… #productmanagement

There's almost no way to take shortcuts in product management: ▪️ You have to influence ▪️ You have to be accountable ▪️ You have to define the vision But, you can: ▫️ Focus on leveraged work ▫️ Shape your role ▫️ Delegate

Insurance companies: pharmaceutical may be a bigger racket than the military industrial complex. Ethics and morals??

That was a filthy face mask.

Pretty sure I just spit milk out of my nose. Thanks for this!!

When people argue that the cost of delay is “just an estimate” and “cannot be known upfront,” kindly remind them that all their talk of budget and schedule are just estimates too.

Agile approaches do not do up-front requirements gathering. Period. Calling it "grooming" or "refinement" and having a PO do it in no way changes that. It’s just waterfall planning wearing a thinly veiled disguise. If your "Agile" looks like waterfall, it’s not agile. Sorry.

So many teams meetings I find myself waving 👋 bye to people on the phone without video.

There is more to communication than putting out information. What do you use to help those you work with consume info that has been curated for just that? #Product

Am I the only one that think talking on the phone while talking to another human face-to-face is rude?

Why not act like a startup and get rid of the bureaucracy? We can’t do that! Why not? We need to control the money. So do startups, they do that by trusting people. We can’t do that! Why? and around and around and around.

Feel this…

One of my biggest mistakes is believing I can cultivate awareness in others. Efforting to change someone's linear thinking, through discourse, into a systems view is Sisyphean. Holistic (systems) thinking is an integrative, embodied practice. Nobody can do that work for you.
