I didn’t get the NSF-GRFP this cycle. Dejected, but I learnt so much about scientific writing as well as my own research interests through the process. I will come back stronger :) Big shoutout to Dr. Starr @DanStarrUCDavis who helped me with my application!

Hi friends. I’ve tried countless times to write this post, but it’s been extremely difficult for me. We had a massive tragedy strike the farm, and I have been doing my best to wrap my head around it.
Young Chilean scientist, Pablo Guzman was killed this weekend. He was in Kansas at the @ScienceStowers doing his PhD studies. I had the pleasure of having him as a student during his undergrad, and he was brilliant and a wonderful person. What a tragedy. (1/n)
