The focus of the BOI in generating FDI must change. FDI is not infrastructure investment it is sourcing global entrepreneurs who will set up industries, generate employment and boost exports as in the time of the then GCEC. @anuradisanayake @dhananath
500K new entrepreneurs must be made,capital provided. The 7M in poverty will be the workforce. Capital is easily obtained with the green future in exchange for harvest. $350M is the need.Without this we cannot reach the GDP growth for debt service.@anuradisanayake @dhananath
Debt sustainability for Sri Lanka is now correlated to economic growth. Stringent policy and a liberal economy with a boost in production and expansion of GDP will be the only solution. Tariff’s&incentives for FDI all must facilitate this goal.@anuradisanayake @dhananath
The 7 Million in poverty currently must be transformed into a force to boost production. Capital + Labour is what needs to be provided for entrepreneurs to kick start the production process. @anuradisanayake @dhananath
In 50 days from tomorrow Sri Lanka will face another challenge, a new Parliament. Will the transformation progress. This is what needs to be understood. Only sanity over euphoria will yield results. Change is inevitable so let’s be that change.

As it seems taking into consideration the grass root the final race to victory is between Ranil Wickremesinghe and Sajith Premadasa. RW, SP and NR maintaining there vote bases will yield this result.
Most candidates seems to think renegotiating a IMF agreement is as an easy task. This transforms the entire economic trajectory. Why don’t they speak on how economic activity and livelihood development can be achieved so that people can live.
The political landscape is such majority of the sitting MP’s does not command nor can they muster the numbers at grass root level. What they think and what the people think are polls apart.

On debt restructuring haircuts are dreams. Deferment has happened now. No one is facing the true challenge, how are we going to increase govt revenue to 14% of GDP and expansion of GDP to be able to start repaying debts by 2028.
Whether the Original Constitution supersedes the 19th Amendment in respect of the 5 yr term is yet to be seen. If, if the determination says otherwise is 6 years and not 5, Will Hon. Maithripala Sirisena get his one year back ? What a tangle web we wee.
Each Party tries to show more people at meetings to show their strength. History has shown us that crowds at meetings doesn’t result in Votes. Ground situation is very different. Traditional party politics will not work this time around.
Hon.Sampanthan was a Statesman & Politician who stood for what he believed in. I have had many interactions in the chambers of Parliament across the aisle as well as privately and at meetings. We will not see Politicians of this caliber. Farewell Sir, RIP.
