"Who's the contractor for the €442,000 modular homes"? Funny story, it's Sisk (which owns Sensori which built the €335,000 bike shelter), but it typically subcontracts out specific deliveries eg with Denis O'Brien and his Siteserv, whose Roankabin unit builds such homes.

Wonder who got the contract for the modular home in Ireland?

A big thank you to @MaryLouMcDonald for raising Harvey’s case today in the Dáil. As we kind of expected, @SimonHarrisTD had nothing of real substance to say, but what I did not expect is the absolute disrespect and lack of basic manners while speaking to you about something of…

Shocking attendance from Fianna Fáil's Billy Kelleher at the European Parliament. Imagine showing up less than half of the time and applying for the same job again.

Urging’s not working. Three urgent actions: 1. Pass the Occupied Territories Bill, to sanction illegal West Bank businesses. 2. Suspend US military operations at Shannon pending a ceasefire. 3. Suspend trade ties with Israel. @frances_black @SimonHarrisTD @EamonRyan

Gaza is a small, densely populated enclave. One cannot bomb an area like that without dire consequences for the population. We urge Israel to stop its military operation in Rafah. We need an immediate ceasefire, the release of all hostages & a massive surge in aid.

I asked @McGuinnessEU today in @UCC why she glossed over the murder of 14,000 children in Gaza. As she responded, her chief adviser (chef du cabinet) Patricia Reilly @trishbrussels who was beside me in the audience bluntly told me to “get over it”. Brazen. Not even hiding it.

Germany's defense of Israel in the name of the holocaust is a striking example of what happens when history is taught with a focus on events and outcomes rather than processes. The same thing happens in the U.S. a 🧵 1/

Tigh an t-Saorsaigh (our family pub in Ballyferriter, West Kerry) in Afghanistan 🇦🇫. Had to pack the tee! Enjoyed a day being a tourist, but now I'm back in bed feeling a bit crappy again. Looking at the map & trying to see where in Iran 🇮🇷 I'll cycle 🚲 #ardorothar

Let's be clear: Donald Trump does not have the authority to take us into war with Iran without Congressional approval. A president should never take this nation to war without the informed consent of the American people.

As the ICJ case is today brought by South Africa against Israel for its genocide in Gaza, it feels kinda personally and politically relevant to the small part of Ireland I grew up in. Two names. Majella O'Hare and Blinne Ní Ghrálaigh A 🧵

This doesn't represent the Irish people - the Gov needs to represent it's people. Look who we are lumped in with - absolutely disgusted Mícheal & Leo this will be your legacy - not viewed as neutral but as critical The human rights lawyers in my timeline say its a reasonable case

I remember 1980s Northern Ireland when Corbyn said the solution was talking. Then 700 more people died. Until Major said let's talk. I also remember Corbyn saying the solution to Israel/Palestine was talking to Hamas. Before you ousted him. Then 1200 Israelis died.

I'm intrigued how many Brexiters who bring up de Valeras message to Hempel and magic this into a fictitious supposed support for the Nazis, know the behaviour of Churchill in Greece. He switched sides and used Nazi aligned death squads against allies. theguardian.com/world/2014/nov…
