Schools may be out, but school maintenance workers are diligently working over the summer to make sure buildings & facilities are ready for the new school year. Even though we may not see your great work until we return in the fall, we see & appreciate you! #ThankYouThursday

The road to pension equity for Tier 5 and Tier 6 members is going to be a long-term battle, but in this budget alone, we managed to win the most significant pension reform in 20 years! The fight to #FixtTier6 continues, but for now: Thank you to those who've joined our fight!
Before now, final average salary for Tier 6 was based on the top five consecutive earning years. This improvement to Tier 6 marks another win in what we hope will be a series of changes that will add up to substantial reform to Tier 6. But we have a lot more work to do.
Following the passage of the 2024-25 state budget, NYSUT President @MelindajPerson has released a statement commending New York on delivering positive results for our students, educators, families and communities. Learn more: nysut.org/news/2024/apri…
TAKE ACTION NOW: Add your voices to show how important this truly is for educators, students and entire school communities. (3/3) Send your letter to help bring teacher evaluations back under local control: mac.nysut.org/action/893
