I love driving home Sunday afternoon and feeling "that was some GOOD church" deep in my soul. Mmm hmmm hmmm.

If *you* were being ordained to the priesthood on Feb 2 (Presentation of the Lord/Candlemas), what hymns would you select for the service? I'm pretty limited with the capability of the church where I am curate, but I'm doing a big ol' daydream assuming anything is possible first.

Swapped out the kids bedsheets for winter flannel ones, and they both slept in this morning. Flannel sheets = MAGIC

I rather enjoy when there are tons of people in the post office and no progress seems to be happening...it's sort of an invitation to embrace the futility and absurdity of life, and just be. I want to cross-stich a sampler that says "WE MADE ALL THIS UP"

Thesis defense scheduled directly after a tense PPT meeting for my eldest. Cool. Cool cool cool.

I really hate how much of academic writing is "here's what I'm going to say, here's what I'm saying, here's what I said." I feel like you never actually get to talk.

The heavy thump from flipping back to Advent 1 year A in the Gospel book was so satisfying this morning. Being a Deacon is way more fun than advertised.

I now tell time in pomodoro units. I have 9 pomodoros available tomorrow for writing after church.

Oh dang. 5/5 here, especially the plate upside down thing and time-distance instead of space-distance.

Midwest Test: 1. Refer to big storms as “entertainment” 2. temperature means nothing until you know humidity or wind chill 3. enjoy kicking ice chunks off your wheel well 4. Put plate upside down in the trash so you don’t seem impolite 5. Measure distance in time not miles

Both husband and I got hit with surprise work today that means we'll have to work over the Thanksgiving holiday. This is the bad place and capitalism is dumb.

A pox on people who don't join breakout rooms. That's it. That's the tweet.

Know what? I'm down. This is me.

Leave Twitter because it’s losing people and funding? Friends, I work for the church.

If I keep this rate up, I will be done with my completed thesis draft tomorrow. This is so doable. I really need this to be done. It is so heavy on my body, mind, and spirit right now. Please please please, Jesus give me strength.

About 10 pages of writing is sitting rent-free in my head. I am so tired, and my brain won't shut off. Should I stay up and write it out, having a night of quality sleep for too few hours? Or should I go to sleep, having a night of bad sleep for adequate hours?

Literally what I have been doing all week. It tastes better each day.

Midwesterners love making a big pot of chili and eating it for the next four days
