Woot, Elixir's v1.18 type system found dead code, for free (no changes to code required):
man this shit kinda smells good not gonna lie
Me when the anime pp n*zi I've been debating for 3 hours finally tell me he won't buy my cozy game about traveling to a mysterious planet and meeting a diverse cast of characters (he says it was made on a woke engine)
The @roc_lang track is live on @exercism_io! Exercism is a fantastic platform for learning programming languages and I'm very happy to say that Roc is now part of it. To mark the occasion I wrote a blog post about one of my solutions: isaacvando.com/roc-exercism-f…
1. FOSS don't imply neutrality 2. Donors don't dictate the direction of the project 3. People are harassing/acting in bad faith 4. Being apolitical is a political stance 5. Godot has always been defending marginalized groups

if your response to seeing a rainbow emoji is "ew politics" you probably arent very interested in an inclusive environment and godot made the right decision to remove you Financially backing a project doesn't entitle you to bigotry
Units tests are a great tool… until they aren’t! We’ve all had to deal with unit tests that were a pain to write and maintain. Watch @giacomo_cava's lightning tak about the alluring promise of snapshot testing that frees us from the burden of manually handling unit tests…
Gleam v1.4 is going to be my favourite release so far. It comes packed with some amazing QoL improvements! The one I wanted the most is for sure label shorthand syntax: it makes the experience of using labelled arguments much more pleasant
A huge thank you to @flydotio for the support they gave Gleam over the last two and a half years. We wouldn't have got here without them! 💫 If you'd like be our new corporate sponsor and keep the Gleam show on the road please get in touch!
I’m super excited to say that @gleamlang will support function arguments hints in the next release! And it works with regular calls, pipes and use so you won’t have to jump to a function’s documentation no matter how you’re calling it ✨
Today on stream I’ll live code a cool Lustre app to showcase how to implement drag and drop (with zero ffi!), interact with the local storage to persist state, and make get requests ⭐️ twitch.tv/giacomo_cavali…
