Wordless picture books are such an amazing way to inspire students to write dialogue! These 4th graders used a character panel to present scenes from David Wiesner’s, Tuesday. @PowderSpringsES

Such a fun night cheering on bands at the CCSD Marching Band Exhibition! Got to see some of my former students and of course grabbed a hug from my favorite Redcoat! @UGARedcoatBand

The wait is finally over! Our book arrived and students at PSE were thrilled to use story whoosh to bring characters to life. Mabel the hen’s line “Oh mercy me” was a favorite! Thank you @lester_laminack for inspiring our students! @PowderSpringsES

What happens when the props suddenly disappear for a fairy tale lesson? You pivot and create your own! Students in grades 3-5 designed their own based on 4 common fairy tales. So proud of their teamwork and perseverance! @PowderSpringsES

One of my favorite arts integrated lessons this year has been using dance movements to edit sentences. These 5th graders created steps to represent capital letters and punctuation marks. Such an engaging way to review!

Ready, set, arts integration in action! Students @PowderSpringsES used the wordless picture book, Chalk by @billthomsoncom ,to identify story elements and express emotions without words! Loved the K-1 retell using the magic story box!
