When you need to process the response programmatically, do you ask ChatGPT to reply in:

Do Androids Upvote Stack Overflow Answers?

You do your thing, but weird to watch makers with huge audience end up using their position mostly to land freelance gigs.. ..for the pay that mediocre freelancers were earning 10 years ago. You can do way better, or you can at least do the same thing with less effort.

Remember WordPress?

Installed Brave browser on my GrapheneOS. My Youtube experience so far: - no ads - continues to play when switching to another app, or locking screen Dear Google, thank you for making the Pixel phone. Without it, it would be way harder to get rid of you.

Wait people actually buy SaaS boilerplates?

Rename it to WordSuppress already and be done with the drama

Wordpress makes sharing DMs in public a community code violation

When turning down an interview request, you lose nothing if you point out to the recruiter that their "interview process" is nothing short of unpaid work. If more developers do this, we may all benefit from having to waste less time on the interviews we do want to go through.

I have abstracted myself away from JavaScript - and therefore employability in our industry - so much that when I run `js` in my terminal, it runs `bundle exec jekyll serve`

often see workers complain about clock-watching and dream of managers focusing on outcomes instead. imo that's never going to work unless you are also OK to not get paid when you fail to deliver. and if you are, welcome to freelancing, where things already work like that.

TIL we live on a planet where robot vacuums don't fit under hung toilets

your job, whatever it is, will change you, whoever you are. true luxury is to afford not to work yourself into someone you disrespect.

we ran some numbers so you don't have to.. small SaaS product: a Shopify app MVP can be built in ~2 months who gets what equity: dev founder - 16% money founder - 32% sales/marketing founder - 52% idea guy - 0% each founder agreed percentages were extremely fair

in terms of API quality, documentation and overall developer experience, Shopify used to be in the same league as Stripe, maybe not as good, but close-ish. now they're where PayPal was in 2015. just this week I installed 2 libs made by them, neither works out of box.

how to get paid early as a freelancer, or anyone really, with an invoice: ❌ don't include due date ✅ do include issue date instead if you have to, include text like "pay within 30 days", but no future dates
