We were talking about the water cycle( focusing on vocab). During recess a student asked “would the water evaporate if I pour it on the concrete?” She poured the water and kept checking, she was so amazed. She was like “it’s true the water evaporated into the atmosphere!”
I’ve never taught math and I’m learning with them, but today this group of kids had an aha moment. Sat and worked with them with manipulatives by the end they were like I get it now! They felt so proud 🥹 🥲 #summerschool
Before learning about the history of Cinco de Mayo I asked students to tell me what they knew/ what they wanted to know. I am amazed that they organized their writing in a KWL chart on their own! #proudofthem #growth 🥲
