Almighty. We’re not perfect. We sin, we falter and make mistakes but we do our best trying to please You. We ask You to accept the deeds we do solely for Your sake. Forgive our shortcomings. We will never lose hope in Your Mercy. We will always keep our hearts attached to You.
Imām ibn Abdil-Bar [رحمه الله] said: “Iyās bin Qatāda [رحمه الله] saw a strand of white hair in his beard and said: ‘I see #death is searching for me, and I see that I will not escape it. I seek refuge in You, O’ Lord, from a #sudden death.’” (Bahjat Majālis wa Unsul Mu’jālis)
What goes on around you is not something you can control. But what goes on inside you is something you can control. In fact, you have to control it or it will ruin your peace. You need to be centered, focused and single-minded so you can weather any storm that comes your way.
When the believers enter the #Paradise they will say: وَقالُوا الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذي أَذهَبَ عَنَّا الحَزَنَ "Praise to Allāh, who has removed from us [all] #sadness and #sorrow. (Fatir: 34) So until then, the believers will experience some moments of sadness and grief.
Be grateful not just occasionally but daily. Don’t take anything for granted because as much as He gives, He can also take away. Thank Him for all that you have. Don’t compare your life to others. They may look ‘“perfect” on social media but they all have problems in real life.
When someone is hurtful or racist towards you, don’t reciprocate. It doesn’t give you the green light to behave the same towards them. Don’t let the ugliness of someone else’s character change who you are. Remember that ugliness is a reflection of their character. Not yours.

The Almighty is the Turner of Hearts. He can change things in the blink of an eye. Don’t forget that. He can heal what has been hurting for years in a flash. He can forgive as He wills. Nothing is beyond the Lord of the Worlds. Have faith that things will work out in the end.
