For many, the mere mention of 'sorting out your nutrition' sends them into a panic or they say 'i eat pretty healthy and cook from scratch every night' The problem tends not to lie in what they're packing away INBETWEEN meals that they can no longer get away with

Take running Sure, it's a great feeling when you can don the shoes and just go However, for many, it can be the first time they've done any kind of running in YEARS Yet they expect to run like they used to Or they make the mistake in thinking the body will just 'know' how

We're too impatient when it comes to wanting results We want the result, NOW We want what can take people months if not years to achieve And we want it YESTERDAY So we rush, we hurry, we look for the quick fix Hey presto, it doesn't work

Bodies get a 'beat down' after sitting/slumping for hours at a time And then we ask so much of them - to run - to lift - to dance - to swim - to [insert what you like doing with your body] Staying still for hours isn't exactly the best 'warm up' for these activities

Some great runs: - The first morning run along the beachfront on holiday - The run commute past traffic - The birthday run - The guaranteed PB run at a new distance - The smug run you squeeze in before work - The lunchtime run that gets you away from your desk

People: I want to get fit and healthy. Also People: too much boozing + zombie scrolling for hours + watching/listening to/believing all the negative news 24/7, ‘getting by’ on crap food + propping ourselves up on caffeine = making me feel unfit & unhealthy. It doesn’t add up.

So according to ‘influencers’... You gain weight if you eat: ⁃Fruit ⁃Fat ⁃Protein ⁃Carbs ⁃Too little And also that you can change your life with: ⁃a booty band/workout ⁃detox teas ⁃this super new diet you’ve not tried yet ⁃other crap they peddle

The same way 1 great week of exercise doesn’t make you an athlete.. ..a week of smashing the Christmas food and drink isn’t gonna mean you’ve lost all your fitness or that you’ve ‘ruined everything’ either The trick is to just enjoy it and know you’re not gonna do it forever

The one person who will ALWAYS be there to tell you things to hold you back Stares you right in the face everytime you look in the MIRROR

168 hours a week Sure, you may be busting your gut 5x/week, exercising That STILL leaves 163 hours a week though Where you're unsupervised and able to make poor decisions Poor nutritional choices MATTER A LOT Way MORE than all your exercise is going to make

If you've found quarantine has automatically meant weight gain for you, perhaps your routine was unsustainable in the first place
