I grew up in a house of women. My mum and her two best friends. Albeit their sexuality isn’t the same as Sam and Kirstie, Women stepped up to raise me when a man didn’t. Not only were they more than capable, I grew up loved and cared for. Parenthood is love, not sexuality/gender.

Sam Kerr and Kirstie Mewis have announced they are expecting a child next year. Wonderful news!

My story 🤍 we must continue to have these difficult conversations to initiate necessary change. We should not be failed by the system designed to protect us. bbc.com/news/uk-scotla…

A reminder that if you are a man with no experience of sexual assault and no basic understanding of reporting SA to the police, please refrain from lecturing victims about something you know literally nothing about.

Just so we're clear: Sunak, Javid and all the other Tory MPs abandoning Boris Johnson aren't acting from "principle" or "honour". They've known what he's like from the beginning. They're abandoning him because they now think his leadership threatens their interests. That's it.

It’s a privilege to announce that @Greenfaulds_HS has achieved the prestigious UNICEF GOLD RRSA, joining a small number of high schools in Scotland on the list. We dedicate this award to the students who started the journey for us 5 years ago. We stand on the shoulders of giants.

Downing street lit up in Ukrainian colours whilst suspending visa's for Ukrainian nationals. If you want a real example of "virtue signaling" that is it!

Please record the awkward moment when you tell them you’ve spent most of your career campaigning to have people from Eastern Europe deported.😉

It's a disgrace how many people are going hungry this Christmas and a direct result of wrong Tory priorities. The Trussell Trust gave out 2.5 m. emergency food parcels last year and predicts it will give out 7,000 a day this month. We need real action for people’s #righttofood.

Many local people in Kent are welcoming asylum seekers and are prepared to support them. The Government should follow their lead and take a humane approach 👇

That's a nice son you've got there. Would be a shame if the Grinch poured a full bottle of juice over him

i think if someone steals food bc they have no money to buy food... they should be given food... and not punished by the law... for trying to avoid death...

If you thought the Policing Bill was bad before, that was nothing compared to the latest version. Priti Patel has quietly added further measures to effectively criminalise protest. These laws belong in a dictatorship, not a democracy. Some of the worst new powers 👇🏽 1/5

As Children in Need’s appeal show, the BBC annual fundraising event for “disadvantaged” kids, the majority of whom are Sick/Disabled, airs this week, I want you to remember these five things:

5. In summary: Children in Need is doing our government’s job for them, in a temporary way, for select people only, at the expense of the privacy and dignity of those people, and we’re controlling the purse strings. Disabled children deserve so much more.

Last night my phone died just as I was about to use it to pay my bus fare home. I'd been out for after work drinks, didn't have my wallet or battery pack on me as I usually do. My bad. I showed the driver my 'plug in phone' screen; he shook his head and told me to leave the bus.
