A reminder: the ADA is a 30-year-old civil rights law, & there is no excuse for inaccessibility. An estimated 1/4 of American adults are disabled. If you don’t think you know any, then either folks don’t feel safe disclosing to you, or your community is inaccessible. (or both 👀)
JD Vance is a good debater because he is a smooth and confident liar. He looks directly into the camera with a benign expression and lies over and over again. If you win a debate by lying, the American people are the ones who really lose.
Today’s DSA rally – which effectively celebrated Hamas’ murder & kidnapping of hundreds of Israeli civilians, including children & grandparents – was abominable. There is no place for glorifying terror, left, center, or right.
Hamas alone is responsible for this heinous violence. No one should support terrorist attacks against Israel. Today’s rally by the NYC DSA is despicable.
Gerry: I’m having such a nice time getting to know these women on a personal level, they’re all such incredible people with such amazing stories Men of Paradise: The vibes are immaculate bro #TheGoldenBachelor #BachelorInParadise

It's clear for that too many imagine the two parties as a husband and a wife, and the Democratic wife is supposed to placate and coddle the husband and help him look good no matter how dangerous, abusive, and destructive he is--and he is never supposed to do the same for her.
There’s lots of pop-antifeminism and pseudoscience out there attacking hormonal birth control, and it needs to be understood as continuous with the right wing anti-choice project.
The president of the most powerful conservative legal group in the country says banning birth control is at the top of his wishlist: “We are on a winning trajectory...It may be that the day will come when people say the birth-control pill was a mistake.” newyorker.com/magazine/2023/…
Over 1600 B l u e S k y codes have been distributed to chronically ill folks as of right now! I have lots of codes to find good homes for, so please request one if you're in this community and would like to check it out. I also send tips to get started. forms.gle/9CXkzJdLRVGavb…
extremely rude of the baby to start a sleep regression without considering that the dog had *just* finished training his parents to stay in bed through the night and now we’re getting up again; Coda would like to file a COMPLAINT
“but did anyone die tho” is an interesting response to criticism from your constituents, the vast majority of whom made it clear they did not in fact get the warnings they needed from city/state leadership
On CNN tonight, Mayor Eric Adams repeats his line about how New Yorkers must have been "living under a rock" if they didn't know about the storm in advance. "We did exactly what was needed," he says, arguing that there were no deaths.
Many people were caught off guard by today's extreme weather—and put in unnecessary danger. @NYCMayor should take responsibility for his slow emergency response instead of deflecting blame.
"If anyone was caught off guard, they had to have been living under a rock" @NYCMayor says of the storm now on 1010WINS.
Now that's a lede. Tune into @HellGateNY for our continuing coverage of today's floods in NYC. hellgatenyc.com/adams-press-co…
Friends and family went to work this morning, got early dismissal to try to get home as it became clear what this storm was doing, and still aren’t home — facing flooded trains and roads and many closures/delays. And they all could’ve just worked from home today instead!
A tough statement from @JumaaneWilliams: "From orange skies to flooded streets, a pattern is becoming clear - the administration has been delayed & insufficient in using... effective tools in notifying New Yorkers about extreme weather emergencies which are only increasing."
This isn't a novel thought but what this country does to young people is horrendous. Shootings at schools and community spaces. Legislative attacks. Expecting them to maneuver flood waters just to get home from school. All while asking "but what's wrong with kids these days?"
