You're not a jacked nerd. You're just someone who has awareness of a problem, the solution, a desire to reach a goal, and works hard. Stop labeling yourself with results of action, or stories that take the blame off of yourself. It doesn't help you. Here's how I know:
Do not cast power to your excuses. Own your circumstances, because no one else will.
On the level of the body, we can relate to every other human being in the world. What creates this huge distances between us is the fantasies of the mind.
Drink more water than you think you need. Remember to be mindful. Compliment others genuinely. Is what I'm doing right now serving the person I want to become? Chin up, shoulders up. Your best posture is the next one.
I've done the best work when everything around me appears to be a complete mess. Complete chaos. But I know exactly what's going on. That's why I've realized organization is almost always procrastination in disguise.
Planning is always a form of procrastination. Technically, you could just do all the work and never every have to spend time planning anything. That's quite unrealistic, but either way, planning isn't doing the work, and so it's wasting time.
Attention is the oil of the 21st century. There are billions of eyeballs hungering for knowledge or idle entertainment. Your audience craves relatability and authenticity in you (your brand’s) personality; and novel, empowering knowledge in your message.
They say you are what you eat. The same is true for your mind. Eat in a way that treats your body with the respect it deserves. Consume information and media in a way that treats your mind with the quality information it deserves.
Every time you face a hurdle, solve a problem or bang your head against the wall for hours. Just remember, it's a problem your competitor would have needed to solve if they were to get to where you are right now.
Stop! Why are you scrolling? Are you expecting to learn something here? Just remember that while most social media advice might seem very applicable, it's mostly completely irrelevant to you own life. Ignore that shit and do what you gotta do, or just have fun and go outside.
A strong personal brand is status: It’s connections with the kind of people everyone wants to know. It’s a customer base for your business. It’s a compounding asset that grows exponentially over time. It's the most important asset you will ever have.
I feel like I've learnt all that I can from social media. Nothing seems new or life-changing any more like it used to. This place feels shallow and stale. Why does my feed just look like pointless give-aways?
Building a digital audience is either painfully slow, time-consuming and hard work or expensive. Standing out amongst the crowd is becoming more challenging than ever. That's why I'm building typeway.app
The social media age is market by replacing what works with what sounds good. Start thinking for yourself and don't let other people's shower thoughts influence what you know you have to do. Stop wasting time juggling trendy phrases in your mind that don't serve you.
