One of the greatest deceptions of our time is the lie that that single mom on welfare or the kid getting free food at school is the problem instead of the ultra rich hoarding more wealth than billions of people have combined and getting tax breaks for doing so.

Why do so many feel like they've fallen behind? It's not because of immigrants, trans people, the “deep state,” or any other bogeyman trotted out by the GOP. It's because big corporations and billionaires have rigged markets and siphoned off most of the economy's gains.

These 5 big corporations: -General Electric -General Motors -Meta -Tesla -T-Mobile …had a combined $70 billion in profits last year. Yet they paid an effective average tax rate of just 6.9%. Meanwhile, the typical American family pays a tax rate of 13.6%.
