Sad news from the Mets today, as the team announced that Buddy Harrelson has died after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. He was 79. Harrelson was a member of the 1969 WS champions and a Gold Glover at shortstop. He played in Flushing for 13 seasons and was a manager for two.
