I don't know all the answers, but I do know that starting off the younger generations in a massive financial hole - greater than any generation before has ever known - is not conducive to nurturing a healthy, progressive, and thriving society.
I had to drop out of college for purely financial reasons. I didn't even get a degree out of it. To top it off, the majority of my loans are private and will not be forgiven even if any federal forgiveness passes. I still want forgiveness for others even if I won't benefit.
I just worked my butt off to pay off my very expensive student loans a few months ago. If Biden forgives student loans, I’m going to be livid.
