Can life get any better?! Great food and company. Thank you for making time for me on your one week UK-anniversary, Sandra! ♥️

This post is unavailable.

There is such a wide range of topics, great and friendly scholars, and amazing keynotes at this year's #AFE - at a fantastic location @LSEEcon! I am thrilled I get to be part of it.

Fantastic talk by @manuelacollis co-authored with @ClemVaneff on Workplace Hostility at the #AFE conference. Lots of cool papers, and it's fun to visit the UK for the first time!

Love all the observations Kevin made. Very accurate! When I did my undergrad in Bern, I ran into the council of seven or a member of the parliament every now and then. +Despite living in metropolitan Toronto now, I miss hearing all the different languages I had around back then.

Just back from a fun visit at Uni. Bern for a talk and a startup acquisitions conference. Switzerland is quite fascinating, and a place I've been to quite a few times; here's a few social scientific notes. 1/x

Self-doubt stops too many women from applying for jobs. After clearing the bar for expert-level work, 92% of men applied—but only 50% of women did. It shouldn't matter whether you feel qualified. That's for the employer to judge. If you're interested, put your hat in the ring.

📈Men apply for a job when they meet only 60% of the qualifications, but women apply only if they meet 100% of them. Learn how this common statistic inspired WAPPP affiliate and associate professor at @‌HarvardHBS, Katherine Coffman's research: womensagenda.com.au/business/vague…

Our research finds that women tend to ‘turn inwards’ following ambiguous incidents that might be gender discrimination, whereas overt discrimination prompts actions that could create change. Thanks @GenderEconomy @manuelacollis for sharing the research! tinyurl.com/y7k75rrr

In this paper, we ask "How do we react to feedback about our talents?" And we find that this is shaped by gender stereotypes. I'm so happy our paper is finally out there!

Layane is a fantastic scholar. I had the pleasure of getting to know her at an entrepreneurship workshop and seeing her JMP evolve. It's a great paper! Hire her!

Such an enriching addition to all the amazing gender scholars at @UofT! I‘m thrilled that @_alice_evans is joining us this semester!

So very pleased to share that @_alice_evans is joining @munkschool as a Fellow in Residence in the coming term. A wide-ranging intellectual, writing a sweeping account of the raise and persistence of patriarchy, and one of the best broad consumers of social science. Lucky us!
