If you hold hostages in a family home, in the middle of a busy civilian area, with armed men launching RPGs among the civilians to keep said hostages, civilians will inevitably get hurt. The hostages should have never been there to begin with.

A lot of people are unfamiliar with recent Gaza developments and so do not know that Israel accepted the Paris framework for a truce/hostage deal but Hamas has not. As a result, they completely misunderstand what Harris is saying, which is that Hamas should say yes to the deal.
There are people tweeting out that the VP called for an immediate ceasefire without noting the second part…that she’s putting the onus on Hamas. As a result, people who don’t dig deeper think there’s been a significant shift from the White House….there hasn’t been.
Let this sink in. Hamas rejects a ceasefire, only because they're unwilling to tell how many of the hostages are alive. They consider that a nonstarter. And then we hear that Israel needs to be pressured into accepting a ceasefire.
